Tessa's vision and motivation:
There was only one period in my life when I didn't live with animals: the time during my veterinary studies. Before and after that, animals always played a huge role - and that should never be any different again. After my studies, I started small with animals and got myself two gerbils and - fittingly - our cat Trojka, who still lives with us today, fit and healthy. I then added two Icelandic shepherd dogs - Floki and Skyr. I even had a horse as a child. That was probably the animal that made me what I am today. Because the animal had enormous health problems - also in terms of nutrition. Years later, I specialized in precisely this topic. After all, I see nutrition as the basis for a healthy life. Not only for our animal friends, but also for us humans. It was nutrition that enabled my horse to live longer.
And today, nutrition is the reason why our dogs are such excellent athletes. In addition to nutrition, I am also passionate about teaching. Teaching others how important nutrition is and how it can be used to give animals the healthiest possible life, feed them healthy food and keep them fit. It is pure joy to see how animals' lives change for the better after nutritional advice. I love driving forward developments in dog nutrition and developing myself further in the process. Oh - and then I love cooking and testing my recipes at home with my jury dogs. Some days I envy them - they eat better than humans.
