The best for your dog.
Feeding your own dog is a very emotional subject. Don't we all want the best for our pet? "Of course!", you'll say. Now the counter question: "And what do you feed?" The answer is less clear-cut. Sometimes the answer is "dry food or tinned food". It's rarer to hear that dog owners bark or cook their own food. But each form of nutrition has its justification. After all, everyone knows their pet best and the diet has evolved, so to speak. Only one thing is certain: no pre-packaged food contains the "best", which is what you actually want to give your dog. Only you can guarantee that if you cook it yourself.
The advantages of cooking your own food are obvious: you know where the ingredients come from. You avoid questionable additives and can cook according to your dog's preferences and needs. The transparency gained about the ingredients makes it possible to avoid allergens that can lead to digestive problems or skin problems, among other things. And for anyone who thinks that this is time-consuming and expensive, we can only say: it's not. Firstly, you don't just cook per portion, you cook in advance. So the effort involved is more than limited. And when it comes to production costs, it's up to you whether you use organic produce or cheap food from the discounter. Whichever you choose, anything is better than shelf-stable ready-made products, which may well contain undesirable products and substances.
